This Privacy Policy describes how Solumi ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Solumi mobile application (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate Solumi and improve your experience.

Usage data. Anonymous information about how you interact with the Service — device type, operating system version, app version, screens visited, features used, and diagnostic events. This data is aggregated and does not directly identify you.

Subscription data. When you purchase a subscription, the transaction is handled by Apple. We do not see your payment method. We receive only anonymous identifiers needed to verify your subscription status.

Health and activity data. With your permission, Solumi reads selected categories of data from Apple HealthKit to provide its core experience. The categories we read are: sleep, steps, distance, resting heart rate, workouts, and mindfulness minutes. Raw HealthKit data is read, stored, and processed on your device. We never upload or store your raw HealthKit values on our servers. To generate Solumi’s responses, short derived summaries — for example, that your sleep last night was below your personal average — may be included in a request to our AI provider. These summaries are processed in real time to generate the response and are not stored on our servers. Your health data is never used for advertising and is never shared with data brokers. You can revoke HealthKit access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Solumi.

Information you provide. Names, preferences, mood entries, conversation messages, and any other text you enter into the Service. The bulk of this information is stored on your device. When you interact with Solumi, the text of your message — together with relevant context such as your first name, recent conversation history, and the derived summaries described above — is transmitted over an encrypted connection to our AI provider (Google Gemini API) to generate a response. This content is processed in real time: we do not store your conversations on our servers, and they are never used for advertising.

Voice input. When you speak to Solumi, your speech is converted to text using Apple’s speech recognition technology. We do not receive or store audio recordings; only the resulting text is processed as described above.

How we use information

Service providers

We work with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the Service, including Google (AI response generation via the Gemini API, and cloud infrastructure), Apple (App Store payments and subscription management), and providers of aggregated, privacy-preserving analytics. We share with them only the minimum information necessary to perform their services, and they are bound to handle that information confidentially.

We do not use advertising networks, social-media SDKs, or behavioural tracking services. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Data retention

Information stored on your device is retained until you delete it or uninstall the Service. Anonymous analytics data is retained for a limited period. Subscription records are retained as required by Apple and applicable tax and accounting law.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Most of your data lives only on your device — you can delete it directly by uninstalling the Service or by using the in-app delete option in Settings.

If you are located in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We process your information on the basis of performing our contract with you, your consent (for HealthKit access and notifications), and our legitimate interest in improving the Service.

Children's privacy

Solumi is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

International transfers

Solumi is operated from Georgia. Some of our service providers operate globally, and your information may be processed in countries outside your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards to protect your information during international transfer.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
